Tuesday 16th August

The sequel to the indie darling Grow Home from Ubisoft, take control of BUD as you begin scaling more towers on new planets in this quirky platformer.

Releasing on PS4, Xbone and PC

Uno

It’s UNO. What more can I say? Well, the original digital game for the 360 was actually a massive success on Xbox Live, especially with the livecam feature. The game will ship with the classic mode, as well as some variant challenges for when you tire of the base game.

I don’t even have a video for this one, so have a link:

Enjoy it on Ps4, Xbone and PC

Hitman: Episode 4 – Bangkok

Apparently the decision to make an episodic Hitman game was an excellent one, as I’m hearing nothing but praise about these individualised murder sandboxes. Now you can travel to Bangkok and murder indie musicians at their hotel. Which Is obviously something everyone dreams of.

Again no video, but check the release notes here for a sneak preview:

Murdalise on Ps4, Xbone and PC

Bound

Another of Playstations’s experimental games, this time with a platformer controlled entirely through the action of dance. With a gorgeous aesthetic and an incredibly cool concept, I shall be very excited to see this.

Nine Lives

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eD0RwoMCS78&w=560&h=315]

Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Garner star in a movie genre that I was certain Hollywood had given up on.

Kevin Spacey is a working father who has no time for his family, and when he needs to pick up a pet cat to make up for missing his daughter’s birthday, he goes to a very strange store…

Now, in the body of a cat, Kevin Spacey has only one week to show his family that he can love them, or he’ll be stuck there… Forever.

I genuinely didn’t think they made body swap comedies any more. If you want to see Kevin Spacey snark, this is for you.

F1 2016

The Annual update for the racing simulator comes along, this time with 22 player online multiplayer seasons. Sounds like a great idea, but apparently F1 2015 was a bit of a disappointment on launch. Time to see if they can redeem themselves.

Taking pole position on PC, PS4 and Xbone.
Professional Farmer 2017

Uh. Just watch the trailer. If this appeals to you, you probably already knew about it.

It does release on consoles I guess? If you really want to farm and can’t get Farming Simulator’s latest edition then work away.

Ploughing into PS4, Xbone and PC

Tropico 5: Complete Collection

Tropico 5 joins the other strategy games looking to invest in the PS4’s wide audience with a DLC complete edition. The Tropico series is always a delight, and I’ve been reliably informed that entry  is an excellent version.

Friday August 19th

David Brent: Life on the Road

Ricky Gervais’s David Brent returns, this time in a big screen 0uting in the vein of Spinal Tap. With one last attempt at relevance, Brent tries his hand at musical stardom, with predictable results. See just how awful Gervais can make one man in only 90 minutes.
