Hitman 3 Title

Hitman 3 Review – Near Perfect Execution

January 25, 2021 Conor 1

Hitman 3 is the pinnacle of a story and gameplay design philosophy that has defined this trilogy since 2018. At its best, this gives rise to some truly spectacular sandboxes to play in, and dozens of tools to do that with. At its worst? It becomes a quagmire, signposting the path of “how to have fun”. Hoping you’ll glean enough enjoyment from the six levels of the game to justify the story dragging them down.

Hades Title

Hades Review: Pure Peloponnesian Perfection

November 18, 2020 Conor 0

Hades is exceptional. Supergiant Games’ latest work excels in every area possible. An absurdly polished mix of morish combat, note perfect music, humanistic writing and textbook worthy narrative design.

Star Wars Squadrons Asteroids

Star Wars Squadrons Review: Delightfully Detailed Dogfighting

October 4, 2020 Conor 1

Star Wars Squadrons is not a sequel to the classic Rogue Squadron games. Or even the more direct inspirations and more classic X-Wing or TIE Fighter. Instead, it’s a much more simple package. A chaotic, multiplayer focussed 5v5 dogfighting game that feels amazing, when it works.

Among Us Review

Among Us Review: Suspecting Suspicious Spacemen

September 20, 2020 Conor 0

I have a lot of time for deceptively simple murder mystery games. The newly popular Among Us is an absolute highlight of the genre. Released in 2018, Among Us comes from the studio Innersloth. Following launch, it ticked along, gathering fans, mobile versions and additional maps and costumes for your tiny astronauts. This picked up with fans in both Brazil and South Korea becoming enamoured with the game, before English speaking game streamers popularised it even further. From there it’s skyrocketed.  So what’s making people so interested?
