Moana is Disney’s latest animated feature, this time moving away from traditional western fairy tales and legends, and going somewhere a little warmer.
Based on Polynesian Myths, Moana is played by Auli’i Cravalho. A young girl who sets out on a quest across the ocean to save her people from disaster by finding the Demi god, Maui (Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson).
The trailer shows off some of the excellently varied music by, among others, Lin Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame. This film has a gorgeous representation of not just the Polynesian islands and ocean, but also the people, with Maui in particular having a fantastic design.
