It has been a genuinely amazing year for games. The sheer variety of games on offer has been bountiful and means everyone has something they can enjoy. AAA offered some excellent big budget experiences. Indies of all sizes created unique and stellar games. There were in fact, far too many games. So much I couldn’t even get to things like Outer Wilds, Heaven’s Vault, Mechwarrior or Resident Evil 2. But the 10 best games of the year 2019? The ones I played are below:
The E3 Sony Conference 2018 will be the last of the full conferences, and we’re well aware of what’s to come. Because the PlayStation expo offers Sony a chance at some competition free media space later in the year, here we’re getting four deep dives into highly anticipated games. Spider-Man, Ghosts of Tsushima, The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding will be the games on show here primarily. But will we see anything else? Let’s hope so.
Ubisoft have a lot to follow up on after last year, including Beyond Good and Evil 2, Skull and Bones and a wealth of their traditional titles. What will the E3 Ubisoft Conference 2018 bring?
Bethesda were pretty open about what they had planned for E3 Bethesda Conference 2018. They told us about a lot of stuff we either knew about or could guess. But what we ended up with is weird and cool.
9pm BST, E3 Microsoft Conference 2018 is go. What will we see at the E3 Microsoft Conference 2018? By all reports, this is going to be the big one, with Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed and many other huge hitters supposedly in Microsoft’s arsenal.
Microsoft are definitely in the underdog position for this generation. They’ve had multiple big titles being cancelled or delayed or just not well received enough. Weirdly, in spite of how they started this generation, their backwards compatibility and console features have turned into their saving grace. But what do we expect them to be focussing on for the E3 2018 Conference? What are our Microsoft E3 Predictions?
Rust is an online only, always active survival game where your player character is random and fixed and the world is full of other players who want to ruin your day. Yet it’s a game that I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into, and it is fascinating to play.
Time for the annual event that is E3. And thus here come the E3 EA Predictions 2017! EA has been very clear about what we’ll be getting in our first E3 conference of the year. We’re getting 6 Games confirmed, as well as potentially 2 unannounced games.
I hear you’re a Nazi now Captain? Well. Sort of. Captain America being a Nazi is both technically incorrect, and irrelevant to the wider concerns of the audience.
The Avengers are relics of the past. The defenders? Who even cares. The New Warriors though. That’s a super-powered team with some big name recognition. Time to meet the New Warriors Cast.
